Located 20 minutes north of Christchurch in the beautiful South Island of New Zealand, Silverstream bred animals have won every major alpaca show in New Zealand and at the 2015 National Show at Mystery Creek Silverstream won four age group champions and one reserve and, for good measure, nine of the ten champions in the lineup for supreme were sired by our own Silverstream herd sires.
With a large herd of over 225 alpacas, Silverstream offer alpacas for sale to suit all budgets and colour preferences. Our stud males are available for inhouse and mobile matings and prices depend on the choice of sire and the number of services.
Alpacas have a natural curiosity towards children and the children simply love them with their teddy bear good looks and their soft hum for communication.

The Farm Tour takes about an hour and is very hands on. Visitors will be taken to a yard/pen where they can touch the alpacas, hold a cria (baby alpaca), take an alpaca for walk or simply take lots of photographs.
